"CAN PEOPLE REALLY CHANGE?"

...for the "better"? And, begin their journey every day, whether it is at the office, in the classroom, or at home, the journey on which each of us was destined to make? Making "changes" in what we do, how we act, think and speak. And, the BIG question - how does one know that changes in the way we live must be made?
     Ahhh...
     Hmmm...
     And other contemplative pauses.
Is it time for a change in your life? Are you satisfied with your "journey"?
But, how does one make that change?

Any thoughts? Wish to share your experience about your "change"?

I'll give you a hint - you will experience a moment when you realize that your journey is paved with uneven "stones" and you'll have the tools to make your path even again. I know. I've been "there".

At the end of this school year, a lot of us are going to have to make a very big change. The change is moving from high school to college. It is a very big change. Many of us will be in colleges located all over the country. We will have to adjust to new people, a new environment, and many more new things. I am very satisfied with my journey of high school so far and it makes me sad when i think about leaving. But change is good and we all could use it once in awhile.

On this topic, I'm agreeing with Mr. Pasacrita on the "change" from high school to college. However, it's also another major change of being on your own for the first time in your life. You're given a lot more freedoms, choices and opportunities that you have to distinguish is best for yourself. You don't have mommy and daddy holding your hand anymore.

There is never a time where someone should stop trying to change. For the main fact nobody is perfect and everyone is filled with flaws working to be a person daily makes a person and everyone involved in it easier day by day. Making the changes as soon as you can makes the road ahead much easier for an individual so there is no need to turn around and fix mistakes made in the past.

It is a given, everyone over time will change, especially us as we go from high school to college, as Mr. Pasacrita said. Along with the freedoms given, that Mr. Adams mentioned,as we go to college, we will also experience changes in the friends we make, a change in the environment in which we study and learn, and a change in our personality and thinking from that change of friends. As for my "journey" of change, I am content with it, but it won't hurt to make some further changes in my life.

I think that change is good. We can attest ourselves to build a better character. Yeah change is something we will experience as what Mr. Pasacrita and Mr. Adams said about college. It will be hard to adapt to the change at first but eventually we will get the hang of it and make sure we are ready for the long run. A lot of changes will occur in our future which will make it very hard for us but we will be able to adapt to it.

We all go through change in one way or another. For some of us it may be a lost parent or for others it may be a transition from one place to another. Some people change for the better whole of a community or family. For example you need to prioritize your things and in accordance you must change to meet those priorities. When applying to college you need to change your priorities so that school and applications come first before sports and friends. You're going to have to change and leave your friends on the weekends in order to finish those applications and do well in school. Although change is difficult it is sometimes needed, and if the change does not work then just change again till everything works out properly.

Change is something everybody goes though; it is part of the process of living. God always forgives us for our sins because he wants us to change and be better. It does not matter when or where, people can change because humans have a conscience and it tells us how we can change our life to be better people. a good example is a drug addict that went to rehab and left with no thoughts of doing drugs again. This is a huge change. This person was addicted to a drug he thought he needed every day to survive. Now he does not need the drug and can be a better person. It is not impossible to change.

Personally, change is always a good thing. Why does a person change? Usually, someone changes when they want to make something better. Like if you talk to much, you're going to change and talk less. People decide to make changes in hopes of making things better. No one is going to deliberately change for the worse. Change gives us an opportunity to experience new things.

I think that change is a good thing for the most part. If you are changing, most likely it is because you want to improve something wrong for you. Sometimes people gain bad attitudes and change for the worse which is unfortunate. If you find that you are a mean person or find qualities about yourself that are negative, change would be for the better

I agree with what pasacrita wrote we will still be the same people as we are now for the most part but we could change certain bad characteristics about ourselves. As we get older we make mistake and we should learn from them and adjust our lives so we do not make hose same mistake. Therefore we mold ourselves to become better people

Change? yes everybody can and will change from the time of birth until the time of death. people change due to the enviorment and people around them. people can change for the good or for the worse. you can change to improve yourself in things such as sports, school, or just overall personality. for example a bully can change from someone whos mean and dominant to someone whos lovable and helpful. change is inevitable and can greatly benefit you or greatly hurt you

Change is always happening. Be it good change or be it bad change, it's always around. From personal experience, change for me was a good experience and putting me in somewhat of a good path for the near future for me. Many people change because, as Connor said, they want to be a better person. Changing not only effects you, it remarkably effects your friends and your family. There will be a huge change in whom we are now as seniors in high school to what we'll be like as seniors in college, and hopefully i'm not the only one that agrees that that change will be for the better

I think people can change. People can change for the better or for the worse. Many encounter things in life that can positively or negatively effect them. Someone can have something happen that positively effects them like a baby being born and they change their ways. People can also be negatively effect them like a death their family and they turn bad things to fill that void. People can change for better or for worse.

I agree that everyone can change simply because people are discovering new things everyday that influence a change in their personality as well as their mindset and determination. Certain things people see or hear on a daily basis cause them to rethink if their lifestyle is essential to them in the long run. If it's not, people decide to make a change. Almost everyone in some point of their life has had to make a change to benefit themselves.

I agree with Pasacrita that when it comes to the end of our highschool career we are going to have to make one of the biggest changes in our lives. Going to college is gonna be leaving our comfort zone that were used to, but most of us are all going to go through this.

After high school was as students are forced into making a change that will change our lives forever. We will be breaking off into the real world getting rid of our parents and having to fend for ourselves. Having parental supervision all your life until this moment is going to be a huge difference in your life choices, for good or bad.

People really can change for the better. We begin our lives everyday with a routine that we do not like to deviate from. When a change the routine needs to be made it's probably for the better. We are faced with decisions in our lives where a change has to be made. When we make a change is it probably beneficial or else why would we make the change. We know when a change must be made because it the result is positive then the decisions should be made. But if the result is negative then no change is needed. All high school seniors are being faced with the decision to attend college next year. When we are given the options to attend college it is a change that will benefit us because a higher education results in a better job. God has given us a life path that we must pave for ourselves, but he is always there to guide. When it is time to change for the better, he expects us to listen and take the opportunity to benefit from a positive change.
