"INSTANT MESSAGING,ETC. - INSTANT COMMUNICATION?"

FaceBook, Twitter, Texting, AIM..."Instant communication"! Yeah... But...are we any more connected and in touch with those with whom we have established relationships? Have we developed deeper, more lasting relationships with the speed with which we now have at our fingertips?
     What do you think?

No, we only lose the ability to interact with people physically. we only hide our faces either through shame of how we look or who we are and become immersed in virtual communication. we lose our ability to talk and to listen; we only retain the ability to read and type words that aren't even dictionary defined.

To be honest, I love the ability to be able to talk to and interact with people over Facebook, Twitter (Even though no one uses it anymore) etc. Though those things would be nice, it is also important that we retain the ability to interact in real life also. In other words, there SHOULD be a balance between the both, but usually we are leaning towards one or the other.

i understand the convenience but people don't have the ability to control their addictions. Texting, drugs, alcohol, email, facebook, twitter etc. everybody has uncontrollable addictions and some are controlled well and others not so much. people aren't able to control themselves when it comes to certain aspects of life, convenience, communication, and other people. they adopt traits that either help or destroy them and i hate to admit that the majority of people make decisions that will destroy them. they become addicted to illegal substances and alcohol and smoking and even online communications like skype, twitter, and facebook. they lose their ability to communicate in person and eentually become socially handicapped. they dont talk to people unless the are online and become easily manipulated into doing things that aren't what god intended. people aren't completely controlled by god himself, but pushed in directions that he wants, but there are many "demons" and "devils" that push in opposite direction and sometimes the "demons" and "devils" win and people follow them and wind up hurting themselves and others. so in response it will either take many years for people to find an equilibrium when it comes to virtual communication and physical communication or it will never happen and the virtual communication addiction that many people have will only progress till people stop interacting physically and only talk virtually.

Temptation...addiction...obsession...are the tools of the "dark side," but, it is we, who control our destinies...just because the something is "there" doesn't mean we have to use it. Moderation, through strict discipline, is preferable to full, all out, indulgences. Again, if it's there, do we have to partake?
