We've covered this terrain once under a different "post," but, now, more than ever, we need to re-focus on independence, self-sufficiency, and do-it-yourself. Why? For starters, the largest government expenditure and co-dependent agency is about to be foisted on most Americans who object to its institution - "universal healthcare". However, this post is not about "healthcare" - government "run" healthcare is just the latest and most egregious example of co-dependency humankind will ever face. Yet, there is a climate of "need" from outside "agencies" to assist us as we face adversity. To where has the mettle of our ancestors - building, breaking, rebuilding -
disappeared? The ability to fend for ourselves? To discover, create, or envision without so-called leadership or direction from outside agencies, rather than from within?
Am I wrong? Teach me, then... Otherwise, let's stand up for ourselves!

I agree. A while ago I heard someone list ideas like, cell phone laws, smoking, don't drink and drive, etc. as nanny laws. These are common sense laws. If people have to have people tell them don't text while you drive then what's next. People have to rely on themselves and learn things their own ways and do things their own ways.
iAgree Mr.Flynn; some people are starting to fend for each other instead of depending on themselves -_-
