"HOW TO BE SUCCESSFUL"

I came across this article in The Record, 9/27. It was aimed at those who were trying to enter the job market after graduating from college, but, the tips offered have value, I believe, for anyone who wishes to be "successful" at whatever he/she does.

1. ATTITUDE...Your attitude determines yiour altitude. Be positive. Be proactive. Accept the tough challenges. No complaining or blaming. Associate only with positive, active people.

2. NETWORKING..."A-B-C..." Always be connecting. It's a state of mind, a way of life.

3. WIN! A once-great warrior stated, "Victorious warriors win first and then go to war. Defeated warriors go to war and then seek to win."

4. COMMUNICATION SKILLS...Ask, if you do not know. Respond within 24 hours. No delay today!

"Let me know what you think..."

.................Amen Mr. Flynn. (by the way ; you spelled your wrong.)

this is very helpful, this blog you posted will help who ever reads it how he/she can get a desent job.
the meaning to me for.....
1. is to always have a "POSiTiVE ATTiTUDE". even if your going through a tough time you have to keep on. if you down on urself and crying; the world wont cry for you or wait for you. you have to make try harder.
the part when you were talking about challanges when you said "accept them" was also inspiering. it reminnded me of what my dad said to me on Saterday; "A re-ward tastes best through you own sweat."
2. tell me to always socialize because you might come across a problem when you would need someone's help to back you up.

3"WiN" reminds me of your post from before "ViCTORiOUS", always keep in mind what it would feel like if you made it or came through what ever situation your in.
4. is about the same 2; only that it describes how you are communicating or socializing.

it reminded me of the same thing i said in your other blog; VICTORIOUS. - "Kεεp α ρosiτivε mind"
- amechi :)

I totally agree with this idea. If you have ever seen the movie Step-Brothers, you will see that Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly go into their interviews with the wrong attitude and communication therefore they do not get the jobs they want. So, when going into an interview you should use all three of these tips or else you will be unsatisfied with the results.

I don't know what to make of this. I agree with it. To me its nothing new. I always considered similar ways to being successful. I don't know what to say about this subject.

Good posts! Hopefully you'll find it works - give it a try, if you haven't...it's always worked for me, and I'm a lot older than you are!

I think that this article gives young adults some good tips when trying to find a job but not all of them. Some other things are things such as confidence and being a good speaker. Overall though i think this is a very good article with a very good purpose.

I agree with this also. Going into anything with a positive attitude makes a night and day difference compared to being intimidated and uneasy. Coaches always tell their players, "If you go into the game thinking you will lose you will".
