"CAN ONE DAY MAKE A DIFFERENCE...?"

Can one day in one's life really make a difference? I got this idea from our reading, "A Day's Pleasure". In the story, for the first time in Mrs. Markham's life, she felt really special and appreciated, something she hadn't experienced, even as a mother and wife, struggling everyday to make things work as the wife of a 19th century farmer. but, on that one day, when she went into town, her life changed, just for that one day! someone reached out and appreciated Mrs. Markham for what she was - a caring, loving mother. This experience may just change with all those who live on the farm, particularly her husband's opinion of her.

So, can a "day's pleasure" really make a differnce in one's life? What's your story? Your opinion?

Yes, one day can make a difference in someones life, but it wasn't just that one day. god didn't make the world in one day. For Mrs. Markham's life to change she had to first get the idea to go to town and that happened another day. For something to change you need something to knock it into motion.

One little day can make a difference in your whole life, or someone else's life. A close family friend of mine was going home on the school bus after school, when a smaller kid in his grade that was bullied everyday for a few years, dropped his books outside the bus. My friend, told the bus driver to wait while he went and helped the kid. The kid looked up at my friend and said "I was going to go home and commit suicide today, but now I know someone actually cares about me." From then on they were friends and my friend helped the kid make new friends. This just proves how sometimes the simplest things can make a difference. If one small act can do that much, think of what a hole day could do.

One day sure can make a difference. Look at the day of September 11, 2001. Think about all the who died, all the hopes that were shattedered, all the people in shock. This one day has made a huge difference. Think about all the airports that are conserned with security. All the people who were willing to go into war because of it. The whole world knows about this day even if they were not here to witness it. This day changed many peoples lives, and their perspective on it.

Yes one day can make a difference. On Saint Patrick's Day 2007 my grandfather suffered a massive heart attack and died. That day I was in complete shock and was devestaed. However, that day I realized how great a man my grandfather was. I relived the memory of him and realized he was the nicest man you could ever meet. I miss my grandfather and still feel pain when I think that he is gone but, that day did make a hug difference in my life.

Yes, 1 day could change your life by anyway weather it is good or bad. So any day that something may happen weather yo failed a test or got accepted to Rutgers, Princeton, Harvard, etc. weather it is a little thing or big thing anything can change your life.
